Welcome to UUFCO Religous Exploration for children and youth!

Registering here ensures that we are able to send announcements occasionally to let you know about fun upcoming activities.

Our weekly program updates can be found the on the RE REsources page of our RE portal. Families can connect on our groups pages. You can register for a login when you go to the site, and we hope that all of our families do.

The information you provide below will be shared with all volunteers and staff who may care for your child this year.

Who is permitted to pick up your child? Please list all custodial parents, caregivers, and other adults who can legally pick up your child. Program staff and volunteers are permitted to check ID's.

Our programs are only possible with volunteer support. How do you want to help this year? I'm interested in planning. Contact me about joining the RE Team Put me on the volunteer list. We'll reach out when we're in need of support and you can let us know if you're available. I want to host some family activities. I can support teens by volunteering on Sunday nights occasionally. I can provide childcare for church events. I would be open to coordinating a parent/caregiver connection opportunity.

Our kids have communicated that they feel snacks are an important part of their RE experience. How does your family feel about snacks ?

We like snacks. Anything that our kids aren't allergic/sensitive to is okay to offer. We like snacks and would prefer to bring our own. We do not want our children eating snacks during RE.

RE Program Participation Agreement

I/We, being the legal parent(s)/guardian(s) of the listed minors above, do hereby give permission to UUFCO for said child to participate in the Religious Exploration Program and related activities during the current church year.

I/We do hereby release and discharge UUFCO from any liability of claim or cause of action that I may now have, or may have in the future, as a result of any injuries received by the said child(ren) while s/he/they participates in any activities and/or fieldtrips.

Furthermore, in the event of an accident, I understand that an attempt will be made to contact me at the phone numbers provided on the Registration Form. If the emergency contact, or I, cannot be reached in time, I hereby authorize the administration of emergency medical aid to my child(ren). I agree to accept financial responsibility for any and all emergency medical care so provided.

I/We agree to accept responsibility for the supervision of our young people while they are using electronic devices.

I/We understand that UUFCO is a public space and cannot be held responsible for photos or videos taken and used by outside of official UUFCO publication spaces. I/We understand that that worship services are recorded and that children in the sanctuary may be visible on these recordings.

I/We understand that UUFCO staff and RE volunteers are mandated reporters in the state of Oregon. They are required to cooperate with all community safety reporting practices.

I/We acknowledge that it is recommended that more than one adult always be nearby during the care of children and youth. This is a typical practice for all UUFCO sponsored RE events. It is suggested that families follow this practice outside of official church activities by supervising all interactions with their child(ren) and other adults. While our congregation is full of loving people, there is no way to ensure that every adult will be a safe person.

I/We acknowledge that UUFCO RE programs are community led and volunteer supported. Parents/caregivers will be asked to support their children in the RE classroom when needed and can be asked to accompany their child/youth during activities and events at any time.

I/We commit to honoring the UUFCO Relational Covenant and all UUFCO policies and procedures. If you have questions or concerns about your child's spiritual development needs, we ask that you connect with us directly.

I/We acknowledge that UUFCO RE programs use the annually updated RE Handbook (found on the RE portal and website) as a guide. I agree to review this information and connect with the RE Director about any questions.
